I'm just looking for clarification really please. I've read through all the previous posts on this subject but I'm a bit confused now! We've got a switched fcu for our new cooker hood & would ideally like to take it from the cooker point. After having read all the posts would I be right in thinking that as long as we use 6mm cable this is ok? Thank you for your help.

you are right, but the fact is you can not do it since a 6mm cable will be physicaly too big.
why not just plug the hood into the cooker point socket

Thanks for the reply. We just wanted it to look neater really & not have a plug hanging around. I suppose we may have to have a re-think. Thanks again.
