When a socket is under a kitchen worktop you have a seperate DP switch above for isolation.
I have just trawled through my OSG for this directive but cannot find, is this a reg or an NICEIC directive.
Could somebody point me to info in the OSG, Amicus Union, or the regs themselves.

I expect it fulfills the regs for "local accessible isolation" - a switched socket is no good for isolation if its behind a burning appliance etc.
 
its so the the switch is accessable and you dont have to pull fridge's etc out to switch them off
