Hello,
I have a potterton EP2002 controller controlling a worcester bosch greenstar 24ri with an old thermostat (Switchmaster)
The EP2002 will not control the heating and hot water timings seperately and so I would like to upgrade it. It makes sense to also update the thermostat whilst i am at it.
My central heating system is vented (tank in loft for top-up/ expansion) but fully pumped. So I am planning to go for the Potterton EP6002 controller.
Most of my rads have TRV's fitted with the exception of the two in the living room where the thermostat is.
So my question is whether I will gain anything from replacing the old thermostat with either....
a) a more accurate/reponsive moderm thermostat
b) a programmable room thermostat
and what thermostats/programmable room thermostats are easy to install
