My CH/HW system only works to it's required efficiency when 3 out of the 7 radiators are on (when both CH and HW are on). Any more than this and the water taes much longer to heat up and the radiators are not as hot as they should be. It seems as if the CH is drawing heat away from the HW..maybe I need a Non-return valve on the hot water cylinder??
All 7 radiators work together when CH only is ON, whereas the HW reaches it's required temperature in 45mins when that is switched on by itself. However, when both are on together the 45mins HW can only be achieved with the 3 radiators on. It doesn't matter which radiators are on whether upstairs or downstairs as long as it is only 3.
