I was replacing a light switch in the loft which had got broken when getting the xmas decs down, and noticed the T+E cable sheath was unusual.
It's 1.5mm2 T+E and one side is flat but the other side looks a bit like figure 8 profile. It had been clipped withthe flat side out so I had never noticed before. Looks like the whole loft lighting has been wired with this cable.
Would this suggest the cable is cheap stuff or not BASEC approved?
If it's OK I'll leave well alone, but as I need to get some electrical work done shortly, if the profile suggests cable that should be replaced....
