First of I'd like to say what a helpful forum this has been. Me and the GF have just moved into our first house and this site has allowed me to get the heating working, add a radiator and start a new flooring project - plenty left still to do though.

To the point....

We have an out house that currently has a toilet in. What we want to do is pull that out and make it into a a laundry room (washing machine & dryer). The dryer is straight forward enough but what would i need to do to sort out the washer. As you can guess there is cold water supply, so I'll need a Y fitting for the washer (the washer will work on cold only - checked that). But its the waste that poses the problem. Is there a nice simple fitting i can put on the soil (at ground level) which reduces the size and incorporates a trap to stop any nasty smells coming back up?

thanks for your help
