I have a satin emulsion paint that is too shiny, but I don't want to use matt, nor buy a tin of matt to mix with it. Any suggestions about how to make it less shiny ?
Most satin paints will start off quite shiny a first, but after a few weeks of being applied, normally u will find the shine will die down, and the finish appear more matt. If you are using a trade quality paint. you could also try thinning down the paint before application. this will knock out a little of the shine.
