My "Titan" sds breaker let me down today. I have had it for 3 years bought it from SFDir....had it repaired once and was brilliant. I had hacked a section of wall of this old chapel I am rendering and had got a scratch on it. (When i got the go ahead to carry on and do the next four sections) (Long story) So I plugged in started to attack the wall when it just threw a 7 and packed up. So off to banq I went and seen a 1500 watt Mc Allister breaker (£99!!!) but I had to have it .So off I went back to the chapel plugged it in and went to put my SDS chisel in it ,and the chisel was too small. There were no tools in the breakers box!!! So off I went back to you know who and said "where's the chisels for this machine?" "Oh! we don't sell them they are SDS MAX...So I gave them the breaker back and went looking around for a cheap breaker... NO chance cheapest one DE walt £320+ vat...but they sold SDS MAX chisels £34+ vat. I said whats your best price? £19 +vat. Ok I will take that. So off i went back to banq bought the breaker and set it up .Then looked at the time, and I had to clean down, lift the sheets over the scratch hose it down again and clean down the scaffold wash the mixer out clean the buckets and barrow out put the valuables in the van (including the breaker) tidy up and go home. Might get to use my new toy tomorrow

thats typical of b&q to sell a machine they dont support, i have what i think is the cheapest sds money can buy i paid £12 for it secondhand its only about £40 new,it comes with drills & chisels as well i used it for the first time a few months ago to do some chasing pretty good it was for £12 heres a link to it http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CHALLENGE-XTR...Home_Garden_PowerTools_SM&hash=item5187f5a8bd i normally go for the dear tools ,the best you can get my other tools are like refina makita ect but for this price you cant go wrong and for the amount of times that im going to use it £12 was a bargain

oh Roy, i would have lost the plot after a day like that mate, and those ba****d horse flies would have been the final straw!! hope it goes better today!

you're right about B&Q Steve.

Mine is a screwfix/erbauer special, think it was about £50, but it spends a lot of it's life in the van so can't justify a top notch one, been solid so far and came with chisels.
