Pulling my hair out here. Hopefully someone can help. I have installed a premier 24 with elite keypad. I am doing something wrong as I have tamper on zone 2,3,4,and 5. Zone 1 is a quad 360 pir which doesnt show any tamper errors. the rest are normal quad texecom pir's. Ive followed the manual but something is amiss. The last time i wired an alarm up a good 10 odd years ago i think i had the same issue. Where should the tamper wires go in to the panel? all in to the aux tampers, ive used yellow and red wiring in the PIR's, so all yellow in to the left aux tamper, all red into the right?

Have you set all zones to normally closed instead of EOL ?
Much better to use resistors
What detectors are you using ?

premier elite quad detectors.
I do remember the menu for changing from EOL - if my memory is right then this was the issue i had last time when I installed an alarm a good 10 years ago. Can you remind me what menu that is under please - is it global options?
thank you.

Every zone gives you the option on what type of wiring BUT as said before use EOL as your detectors have them built in
Much better as ALL zone tampers will be shown

As others have said, resistors are better, but if you do use normally closed, then you need to create them in a series circuit rather than parallelling them all into the global tamper. Only one red and yellow in the panel's connections, the rest need jointing through individually. You may know this, but reading the post made it sound to me that they'd all be dobbed in together.
