Hello all!

I am a first time DIY tiler and had three questions. For context, I finished two walls of my bath/shower with mapei keraflex S1 on jackoboard (Porcelain tile) and now I’m at the end of the bath.

1st- the window wall is brick with sand and cement and a skim coat. Do I need to tank and prime this wall?

2nd- If so, do I use primer g first and then tank (was going to just use the leftover jackoboard tanking membrane) ? Or do I use the tanking membrane first and the primer g after?

3rd- I mitered the edges of the tile in the niches. They go from pretty standard porcelain tile to handmade ones (with wonky edges). Can I use silicone to fill this in? I feel like if I use epoxy, it will chip the tile when I go to shave it with my knife

Thank you in advance and sorry for the poor spelling!

I'd use silicone on the tile corners.

The wall where the window is, if your painting it, then tanking it won't work
