Hi, im nearly complete on my bathroom refurb. We are having most the room floor to ceiling tiled. That has all been done in insulated tile boards. I'm about to tape and tank the joints and screws on those areas.

The rest of the room specifically behind the toilet and sink and the the short side of the bath, we had plastered and I painted as we were not sure what the tile plans were. Its new plaster onto new boards, I used Zinsser Guards to seal the walls and they have 3 coats of Zinsser perma white. We now will be having these wall half tiled.

The question, are those walls ok to be tiled on as is, or need scoring? The reason i ask that is ideally i'd like to tank a little bit on one of the walls where the bath will meet it. So is tanking on paint then tiling a terrible idea.

Thanks

tiles are ceramic 300x600
