Where can I find parts - diaphragm & plate assembly -part number 208018 ?
I saw in this forum two years ago mention of this unit. Anyone who can direct me to this Part ? The old rubber diaphragm is perished.
I'm in Grenada, West Indies, and would very much appreciate assistance on this. A phone number and/or website would be greatly appreciated and an actual contact person would be wonderful.
Thank you, Pilot1

Thanks to DIYnot Forum, I found a source for the parts I need by Googling and it came right up to some point in the forum's long and illustrious (it had a pic of the exact W/H) history where I simply copied the phone number. Since it's a commercial establishment, is it okay to give their phone number here ?

As far as I am aware Grenada only has LPG and not piped natural gas!

Why on earth would you want to post a parts supplier on here? Unless you are advertising them!

In the UK where I am, anyone doing work on gas appliances has to be registered!

That appliance you mentioned is ages old and overdue for replacement!

Yes we can, I found the parts thanks to an old forum. (are we becoming less helpful these days?) Yes the W/H heater was converted for LPG when installed in the '70s. We in the West Indies do have to be more resourceful in keeping the old UK technology going, you know. But the equipment was designed to be sustainable with spares and proper maintenance. So, with the new diaphragm & plate it's like "putting silk ears on the old pig" and "(h)eating high on the hog again". Cold showers no more!
While I recognise that protection of the guild & of public safety is important (not in that order), I, an individual, (neither a supplier nor a plumber) came to this forum seeking light & the espri d' corps of assistance. So, one can well imagine my delight, at finding a phone number for the spares 01332371961, and my anticipation of no more cold showers after having been looking for these parts for nearly a year !
Thanks Again

Why dont you want to replace it?

As far as I know, Grenada still has diesel powered electricity generation which is also becoming rather dated now!

When I was a student my room mate had a cousin from Grenada called Puss who was very pretty with long hair down to her waist. She cut it off the following year and won the Miss World competition but I prefered her with the long hair! She is probably dead by now!

Edit: Just looked up the room mate who was a down and out when I last saw him and gave him £5 to buy a meal. It seems he has recovered himself and is back in Babados working as a photographer.

Edit Edit He has replied and is still alive and well as is his sister. He remembers me but did not say much apart from keep in touch!
