Hello all, I bought some new 1/4 turn taps after the old ones seized up (10 years old in hard water area!).
The new ones were approx 15mm shorter where they fit into the flexi pipes under the sink, they fitted but had no "give" left.
I've bought a set of extensions but it seems these have no provision for a sealing washer, just taped threads?.
Will taping the treads be good enough?, just doesn't seem a sturdy enough solution?.
My other option is to buy some more 15mm copper pipe and redo the pipes longer, but haven't had much joy with compression fittings recently, don't seem as substantial as when I last worked with them (10 years ago).
