tap tail sizes

Hi,
hope someone can help.... just about to install a new bath. Thought i would try some flexible tap connectors... Their sizes all seem to be 1/2", 3/4". Yet the tap tails on the taps i,ve just brought are 1" in diameter, they are low pressure taps.. Do i need to find a 1"connector or am i missing something.....

I assume you mean the bit that connects to the bottom of the tap stem?? If so a inch to 3/4 reducer (inch female, 3/4 male) will do......don't forget the ptfe

Don't you mean......don't forget the fibre washer or flexi tap tail washer? PTFE -tap tail???

No.....i was refering to screwing the female 1 inch adapter onto the tap stem........ptfe.....the washer is already in the female end of the 3/4 inch flexible hose........

I hate it when people pick your answers apart, seems like points scoring to me .......

Cheers for the answers...... Think i,ll take the taps back, only bought them yesterday and see if they'll change them for another set with a 1/2" stem.... Does not mention the stem dimensions on the box....Thought they came 1/2" as standard....
