What is the volume of a pizza having thickness a and radius z ?
;)

I am the square root of -1. Who am i?

How many consonants are in "one"? How many in "two"? And how many in "three"?

What do you do to the length of an edge of a cube to find its volume?

answer to the pizza thing is;

pi, multiplied by the radius (z), squared, multiplied by the thickness (a).

the sqare root of a negative number does not exist.

consonant answer is 1,2,3.

divide the length of the edge of a cube by 12 and cube the answer. e.g. 48 divided by 12 equals 4. 4x4x4 equals 16.

am i close?

Expand the z-squared and remember that you do not need to put multiplied signs in algebra, and you're getting there.

jonny t , if only i could use a key board properly.

then maybe i could type proper algebra ensignia.

No need for special characters.

It is, as you say, pi * z-squared * a

and z-squared is the same as z * z

so it is pi * z * z * a

and given that you don't need to put the '*' in algebra, what do you get .........?

(How about a hamburger of radius g and thickness y ?)
