Telescopic P-Trap not long enough!

Following fitting my new sink and unit i have discovered that the Telescopic P-trap (very similar to the McAlpine ASC10) that i have does not have a long enough extension to take the trap down to the waste pipe.
I think i read somewhere that you can get longer "telescopic pieces" for these kind of traps, but i haven't been able to find any on the net.

Or alternatively is there a small extension piece that i could fit to my sink waste kit to bring it down a little lower?

Fit the trap on the waste outlet and modify the waste to connect to fitted trap. Use the adjustable portion for 'fine tuneing'

You can get adapters to make the connection but you will not be able to fit the shelf as trap will be too low.

There are 5 extensions on fleabay or Mcalpine T12A.
