Thank you.

Thank you, but Teletext is STILL available. My TV is new. Just that Handbook does not say which stations.

I think you'll find the list is as follows:

Teletext is not on digital stations, and all the analogue stations have been turned off

But your digital TV can probably pick up a programme guide and other useful info.

bbc 1 is the only station still putting out a form of teletext, but not the same as it used to be

Teletext is still available on digital stations but not on the ones broadcast in the UK. It is still available in much of the European mainland.

What you're looking at is part of the BBC red button service. It carries foreign and domestic news, financials, sport, regional weather etc.

Go to BBC 1 and press the red button (unsurprisingly) on your remote.

Subtitles used to be part of the teletext service, but where available they're embedded in to the channels. Press the subtitle.button on your remote.

If this or any other reply was helpful to you, then please do the decent thing and click the T-H-A-N-K-S button on the posts you found helpful. The Thanks button appears when you hover the mouse pointer near the Quote Multi-quote buttons. It costs you nothing. This is the proper way to show your thanks for the time and help someone gave you.
