I'm planning to run a cold water feed to a corner of the garden with the eventual purpose of feeding an outdoor shower. The blue MDPE PE80 water pipe will come up through a hole drilled in a slab as these are laid to form a new paved area.

I want to terminate the pipe with some sort of fitting that will allow the connection of the shower (and possibly other things like a hose on a interchangeable basis from time-to-time).

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

The pipe work above the frost line will need protection from freezing. lagging will only delay freezing, in a prolonged cold spell freezing is likely. Taps with water in them will be damaged if that water freezes.

Being able to drain the pipe and fittings above ground level when cold weather is forecast is sensible.

Typically the frost line is considered to be about 500 mm below ground level in the UK
