The walls in my newbuild flat (2009) have had several coats of dulux polished pebble matt paint, in some parts they are incredibly patchy - when looked at head on, the colour covers the wall but uneven texture means they look very patchy from even a slight angle in daylight.
I had painted them twice myself, and have just had another couple of coats from a painter (in autumn and i never have heating on, the flat is always well ventillated)
Would the best thing be to sand down the wall and repaint? The worst patch is a 1.5 x 1m area next to a sunny window, would i need to sand the entire wall or could I just sand the really bad area?
If I used a sanding block, should I use in circular motions?
I am so frustrated as have spens £££s on paint and now on labour and still have a patchy finish. I cannot stop looking at it!
Any suggestions?
