guys,
i know there have been alot of threads with regards to recommended test equipment (16th edition tester or generic) but since as a diyer you would not be expected to conduct all the tests because you cannot cirtify the changes (in some cases complete rewiring). therefore you would either get a partial cirtificate from a sparky and get it checked by building control or just ahave building controls check it.
what i would like to know is that what is the most important tests that needs to be carried out before switching the mains supply or getting someone to check it. remeber this is for a diyer and not for a professional with his Fluke or Robins tester in which case he can conduct all the tests.
please assume that the REC have been help and have told you the fault current and ze.
THIS CAN THEN BE USED IN CHOSING THE TESTING EQUIPMENT.
