Hi,

I'm replacing 3 PIRs on an old Veritas house alarm system with Texecom ACD-0001's. I've wired in the first using the same screw positions to wire colours as the old one. The tamper switch works (sets off the alarm when the PIR is opened) but no LED and the control box just gives a constant beep and won't set.

Tried a few different jumper settings, but trial and error isn't working.

I'm assuming that the wiring is right - given the tamper switch works?

Any ideas on the jumpers?

Any other tips welcome - there was no manual in the box, although I think I have downloaded the right one.

What were the colours before you disconnected the original pir ? Did you take a photo ? If not open up
Main box and post photo of Connections

Looks as if it’s wired wrong ….with the connector block at the bottom ….
From left to right
Black , red , blue , yellow ( green and white are correct ) pir should now light up UNLESS you have blown the fuse

Thanks. Still not lighting up that way around, but no trip either now. Also have disconnected some of the other old PIRs, so that might be the issue.
Have opened the main box to check fuses.(Battery backup disconnected).

Will pull them one at a time and test them on the multimeter.

The good...
Fuses replaced.
PIRs wired up and sensing / lighting up.

The bad...
Still can't set the alarm. Lots of short beeps.

I'm a moron :D
Turn the power back on THEN test. The beeps were on the 12v backup battery only.

@sparkymarka THANK YOU. All working.

Plus I could only buy a trade pack of fuses so I'm set for the next three lifetimes.
