Hello,
I'm concerned that our internal speaker by the alarm cabinet isn't really loud enough to wake us up if the smoke alarms went off. So I'd like to add another speaker up in the bedroom. Fortunately the wiring to the room is easy enough but it's currently got a 16 Ohm speaker on it.
Looks like ideally I'd supposed to have two 8 Ohm speakers in series but these seem slightly harder to source than the 16 Ohm ones.
Is this speakers have to total 16 Ohm a hard and fast rule?
Or would two 16 Ohms in series work fine but perhaps slightly quieter?
Robin
