Moral of this story NEVER update Texecom firmware until it’s been out a few months , they are classic for releasing firmware that’s not had all the bugs ironed out !
Version 4 smart com release and version 6 firmware this is for a new Texecom monitoring connection if I understand so currently unnecessary for most people.
Texecom are aware of the issue and it be addressed in due course you should still be able to update the firmware, however there is no need for most people at this moment in time.

having just sat down and down a firmware upgrade no issues at all, I can say that the language was probably not set in the panel before flashing started.

Got it, I see it is set to 0 just now, and that's correct, just needed changing and sending again to 0 now all is good
