My Thanks button has been glitching of late but seems to be working properly again now, so I have thanked everyone on screen as it were for their help with my computer queries.
Just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone again for all their effort in helping me decide what stuff to buy.
I understand for the PC my budget was not ideal, but those worried about Zoostorm build quality need not be, certainly about this model. It's very solid and nicely screwed together.
Pleased that I stretched the budget on the monitor. It looks superb. At least, it does now!
When I first attached it, the res was poor and the icons huge.
Did not realise (but it soon hit home when I could not get on the internet) that Zoostorm leave it to the customer to install the MOBO and graphics drivers...
Once that was done, everything was sweeet, to quote McVities.
And my younger two's eyes popped out when they saw what I had chosen for them.
Those Acer machines are also well-built, the 17.3" screens a bonus and the dreaded Win 8.1 manageable if you work off the Desktop as much as you can.
Will get rid of McAfee and put AVG on and try and find a workaround for the Mail issue.
I haven't got round to buying any WiFi kit yet. JB, maybe you could take me round John Lewis?
But all in all, it's all good.
Cheers, guys!
