Has anyone any idea where I can download a free copy of this game. I have misplaced a copy I had which I wanted to give to a friends child.

Hi Dave,
I tried that link and registered, as I thought, for a free trial period.
But the site will not allow me a FREE download of Monkey Island.
Am I doing something wrong?

Sorry about that. I did not want the download myself so did not go through the process of trying to get it. It is not made clear at the d/l page.
Looking through the list od downloads, they are either just demos or 'pay-for' downloads so it looks like you may have to dig into your pocket.

Before I do the unthinkable and actually pay out, I will wait in the hope that something else turns up. I don't trust these Torrent Sites I think they are called for no other reason than I don't comprehend where the software comes from which makes me a little uneasy.

Don't see any option for a pm on the forum, though there is a Friends option- how can I contact you?

there is a pm facility, but you have to be "friends" first.
one of you will have to invite the other as a friend which you can do via the profile etc, settings
