Thermecom Oil Fired Boiler problem

The Thermecom oil fired boiler serving the central heating system (both underfloor and radiator) fires up for five/ten minutes at various stages in the day without the heating on and the thermostats set at minimum? Why is this? Thanks.

Do you have a motorised valve? Usually a silver or white box in the airing cupboard?

Thanks Daniel - yes there is a Honeywell Motorised Valve as you described.

Check that the heating motorised valve isn't sticky and as it has a micro switch that switch on boiler when heat is calling for.
