I have a meter that accepts a thermocouple, and I carelessly bought some "K" types (yellow plug) as that is the common one.

However my meter has a green socket, and although the "K" reads about right at room temp, it underreads as temp goes higher (e.g. it shows 44C for a pipe that is probably between 50 and 60C, and it shows boiling water as 90C. So my meter must be optimised for a different output curve.

Who knows what type of thermocouple has a Green plug? Or is there a a conversion table somewhere I can look up?

Sorry, the manual is long gone
