Thermocouple problem?

Hello, My boiler has a problem. The pilot is out and won't relight. I mean it will but keeps on going out again when I release the button.



So the thermocouple I believe is the likely problem. I have seen a universal thermocouple in screwfix, will I be allowed to change this myself, as I believe it is a few threaded nuts to replace??



My boiler is a Potterton Flamingo (20 years or so old now)

Not unless you are GAS SAFE registered

get an gsr engineer

the pilot may be blocked or worse the gas valve could be gubbed

Whatever the problem is, it is not a diy job
