Hey I require a thermocouple for my gas hot water heater. The thermocouple that is in has a bent tip on it so it falls in the pilot flame. All the universal ones I've seen just have straight tips, which won't work for me. Can any one tel me if you can get them with a bent tip.

If the thermocouple is bent to be in the pilot flame then the fault is with the pilot flame. No t/couple should be bent. These have a special thermocouple(not bent) and I've never seen a universal one that fits this model, and as you have to remove/replace the front combustion cover get professional help.

Would they be able to get me a thermocouple for this this I went to a gas spares merchents with the name a model?

I am sure that the parts are available but get it done by a pro.Is this the fan flued or the balanced flue model.Fan flued is a round 5" through the wall job.

T/couple should be about a tenner and 45 mins to fit and do all safety checks.Rgi work!!
