Thermoplastic/Marley tile risk

Hopefully someone can stop me worrying I know I should know better but just over a week ago I took some 6 samples out of 3 rooms for asbestos the tiles in question are the 9 x 9 Marley tiles so I scraped off a small fraction of each tile and they came back positive with chrysotile and I didn't wear any ppe :/ I'm just really worried even know the testing was only 20 mins long I don't wanna be in a box by my 30/40s can someone please put mind at rest i don't see a doctor until tuesday

Stop panicking !

If you have only scraped the tile surface to obtain a sample then the chances of exposure are tiny.

If you're seeing a doctor regarding this issue then you're wasting your time. It's not possible to detect anything internally - no tests will show anything.

If I were you I would cancel the appointment (no need to have an asbestos query on your medical record - life insurance companies love the chance to jack up the premium !) and relax.

Asbestos related issues can be serious and the damn stuff needsnto be treated with respect but you are not remotely in the risk area
