Hi,
Just trying to get a bit of advice.
Our old Honeywell T6060B thermostat has given up. I am trying to replace it with a new Drayton RTS8 stat. Should be a straightforward job but I a pretty useless when it comes to controls wiring. The old stat only had one live one neutral and an earth. Wired as follows: Live - 1 Neutral - 2 earth - 3. When I try to wire the new stat the way it appears it should be done (Live - L Neutral - N) nothing happens. I have tried a couple of other combinations but just end up blowing the fuse in the fused spur.
Can I wire this stat with the existing wiring I have in place?
The system is basic with just a heat only boiler with a built in programmer (which coincidently doesn't work - but that’s the next issue!) - no motorised valves to worry about.
I know I'm probably just being a bit dense but any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Stephen
