Thermostatic pumped shower issue

Hi, since moving into my house last year I have suffered from rubbish pressure from my power shower, I have cleaned the filters and replaced the pump and de scaled the head. I took the control bar off today and found this? It doesn't look like its been drilled out properly at the factory?

do you get a good flow out of the pipes without the bar valve attached. Washing machine hoses can be attached for testing. If the flow is good then You could change the bar mixer. They're not that expensive.
