We have a Vado shower with thermostatic controller which has become stuck after about a year with no use.
Is there a reasonable fix I can do myself (WD 40 springs to mind) or do I need a plumber?

As always, any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

1. Don't use WD40, its likely to rot the rubber O rings inside.
2. If you can isolate hot and cold:
2a. Take it to pieces.
2b. Clean the temperature controller and the flow cartridge in de-scaler. White vinegar will do, Kilrock is better.
2c. Lubricate all moving parts and O rings with silicone grease.
2d. Re-assemble.
3. If its a Vado "Elements" concealed shower, if the thermostatic valve is brass, its been replaced with a plastic one and you might consider getting the new one.
