thermostatic shower

hi guys,

im installing a thermostatic shower (combi boiler system) do i need to install check valves,i know this has to be done with electric showers/instananous,do check valves have to be fitted to cold/hot to prevent backflow contamination

useally are are fitted with check valves on the inlets alredy.
