Thieving b****ds

D

dextrous

So, just went to my garage to get somthing, to discover that some little tinkers have broken in through side window, hopped in and knicked a couple of cordless drills and my 9" grinder.

All in all it's been a wonderful day - my sister's just admitted to hospital following a seizure from her MS, and my mother is in hospital (3rd day) and may not last the weekend through her hiatus hernia having moved up to her chest cavity and giving her trouble breathing and possibly compromising her heart - doctor's asking us whether in the event we want them to try to resuscitate.

Anyone else had a good day recently

If I didn't have kids, think I'd throw the towel in
Hey don't be despondent, I have been suffering breathing difficulty for some while now, went to see specialist who sent me for a CT scan.
Result..he tells me I have a cyst (whatever that may be) pressing on my wind pipe.
I feel like I am sat under the sword of Damocles :( :(

Sorry to hear your plights guys.
We all have good/bad days-weeks-months, sometimes even years.
I live with the sad knowledge that my step-son has cystic fibrosis (his twin brother is fine), which has no cure, and may possibly not even see his 20th birthday  He will be 15 next week!
However, we must make use of what we have to the best end.

What doesn't kill us, makes us stronger. Personally and spiritually i 'have' to believe that to be true. Its an ethos i try to adopt in life.

Chin up guys.

I feel for you mate, that's a pretty crappy story. I only hope that the theif plugs the grinder in and inadvertantly hacks off a limb

The drills and grinder are just stuff and can be replaced, hope your mum and sister are better. We all have black days mate, keep your head up and be strong for your family.

Had quite a good day , got a couple of drills and a grinder for an absolute bargain of some kid.

Thanks for all the pep talks and other stories of woe - has been a big help. :)

namsag, thank you sooooooh much for that. you'll need a couple of new batteries for the makita, hope they don't set you back too much ;)

Sorry to hear about your mum and sis DEx, Hope someone up there is looking down kindly on them both.
Keep us informed. We maybe a sarcastic/loud bunch at times but I believe that in all of us on here beats a heart of gold.
Take care mate.

Drills and grinders can be replaced, Mums and sisters can't.
Wishing all the best for them both.
