saw the post earlier about things found under the bath,didnt want to hijack the thread but found it funny,but thought of things found in general.

i remember working in a bungalow few years back(spraying for woodworm)the chap himself had removed all insulation so all i had to do was carry out treatment,about 8'from the hatch i found a small safe opened inside was gold teeth/rings/braclets paper work etc.went downstairs to find the chap reading paper and supping tea(git)he didnt even raise his head just put it beside him,finished job went back to office and told govenor who turned round and said,THE CHAP IS A RETIRED CID cheif CONSTABLE,me thinks it was a PLANT.

in another empty house i found a solid silver ciggie case(which ive still got)
and in another in a cupboard above the stairs tucked round the corner in a plastic bag about 20 porno videos,i took them home to carry out some research then left them on the kitchen worktop for the new owners to find.

As a kid I once found a bundle of notes stuffed into a hole in a tree in Holland Park Kensington near the Commonwealth Institute,There were loads of notes, didnt get a chance to count it though, we were Boy cubs on an outing to the park and our leader made us put it back!

Always wondered if it was for a gangland pick up or not and also whether our leader went back for it later

I was working in an old house in Luton many years ago belonging to an old soldier who had gone into a care home. In the loft I found two British hand grenades and a German Luger in a rusty metal box.

Turned out that the grenades had no fuses but the luger (also very, very rusty) was fully loaded.

The bomb squad called by the police, found another two grenades (no fuses) and a couple of hundred 22 rounds.

In a shop, in the cellar's concrete floor, found a night safe whose top was sunk about 8 inches below the surface. It was buried in muck and a piece of round plywood. The safe had a keyhole, but nobody knew of the location of the key (very old building, cellar had had a multitude of uses over the years). Decided to leave it be. Who knows what wonders lied within. Probably empty but we can fantasise.

I went out one night with a new pair of shoes on. Many drinks and hours later, when I'd decided I'd had enough. I made my way home(walking), the shoe being new started to hurt the hells of my feet. So decided to take a well earned rest and sat myself down on a wall. Like a daft sod, I nodded off.
When I woke I found someone had nicked my shoes.

Found a pair of lesbians going at it on one job I was on..

got sent to a nearly finished extension at a travel inn type hotel..
was there to swap out about 60 bits of brassware ( sockets, lightswitches, fused spurs etc ) that one of the other sparkies had fitted onto still wet paint.. no gaskets so they started to corrode at the edges..
had a list of rooms and what needed swapping..
it was a busy week and the hotel had decided to start using some of the rooms or they would have to turn guests away.
got given a card and told to knock and shout "maintainence" before going in in case there were guests in their..
did so at this one room.. knocked, shouted, waited, knocked again, shouted again and went in..
on the bed were 2 women in the throes of passion.. so I quickly apologised and left..
no complaint was made and I doubt they even heard me..

working on a big block of flats in brighton and at about 9.30 every morning the site used to go quite,now id been there a couple of days and was working outside looked up and every balcony had a body or more on it,turns out every morning a very nice woman in an opposite block put on a show for the lads and this had been happening for months,shame i was only there for a few days but it was nice while it lasted.

I remember my best find... i must've been 14(ish), and where i lived backed onto fields and farms etc... One day, rummaging round in a hedge (as you do!) i found two porno mags !!!!!
And these were the days when the internet was a twinkle in some nerdy geeks eyes!..
I quickly relocated the mags to another hole under a tree in a different hedge.... !! Months and months of ......... (well work it out for yourselves !).
