Am I right in thinking the clocks went forward in the early hours and the site is no longer 'with it'??
phpBB is dumb and you need to adjust the timezone yourself.
It shows the correct time within each post, but at the bottom of the screen it still says: "All times are GMT".If you tick the 'Adjust for Daylight Saving Time' box here:
//www.diynot.com/network/user_account.php
then it should give you the correct time once more
But it's incorrect; the times currently shown are BST.That's there for the benefit of foreigners I imagine. It should not be displayed when logged in.

Tried that.If you log out and take a look, you will find the time displayed is indeed in UTC. As I said, that should not be displayed when you are logged in.
Probably the server clock is not being synchronised with an external time server.but the server clock actually appears to be fast. NTP seems to be a thing of the past.

I did read your post, did you? You said:Have you considered reading my posts? Please, give it a try.
I assumed the word "that" referred to UTC time. You are correct in saying that the times displayed when logged off are UTC and, when logged on, are UTC+1hr. However it still does not negate my comment that in the bottom right corner it always says All times are GMT. It is this which needs to be put right.If you log out and take a look, you will find the time displayed is indeed in UTC. As I said, that should not be displayed when you are logged in.
Where did you say anything about synchronising the server?Once again, have you considered reading my posts before replying? Because that's exactly what I just said.Probably the server clock is not being synchronised with an external time server.but the server clock actually appears to be fast. NTP seems to be a thing of the past.

But you did not say that. You said:As I have stated, repeatedly, the message that times are in GMT is for users not logged in and should not be displayed at all when you are logged in.
Are we supposed to guess that that refers to the message: "All times are GMT"?If you log out and take a look, you will find the time displayed is indeed in UTC. As I said, that should not be displayed when you are logged in.
No need to give me a link, I was using NTP when I was the IT Manager at a college to synchronize all the servers. However, synchronization is not automatic, Windows Time Service has to be configured to point to the appropriate Level 2 NTP servers, e.g those at the NPL.Network Time ProtocolWhere did you say anything about synchronising the server?
