What is the GC number?

You may need to remove the outer cover as the label is probably on the back of the cover.

hi,

Do you know how to remove the cover, do you just lift it off or does it need to be un-screwed? Thanks for this really appreciate it

Julie

Hi,

We've took the cover off and found it's a Apollo 15/30 GC number 4178953 any ideas where we'll get the manual

You can find Thorn Manuals at PartsArena/Baxi

You will have to install an ActiveX component to gain entry.

Your boiler is listed under Thorn/Boiler/Apollo

Unfortunately they only have the Maintenance Manual but if select the 50/65C you will find installation instructions. The only real difference is that the output is higher.

Presumably your kitchen installers are concerned about ventilation requirements. They are given on page 4 (click on Air supply on page 2).

That is conventional flue so vents and clearances will be completly different from balanced flue.
Have a look at myson appollo as they are same boiler.
The 4149422 is same size and it says you will also need 100mm from front of boiler to door to allow air movement

What was I thinking of?

Ignore my suggestion and follow Namsag's advice.

although i like apollos, it would be worth considering a replacement boiler if your having a new kitchen. the apollo wont last many more years and if you have to alter the new kitchen to suit a new boiler you'll be well p'ed off.
