Hi

I've tiled a bathroom with 9mm ceramic over 12mm ply plus the adhesive and it's going to carpet in the hall.

Now I'm guessing I'll putting the strip under the existing door but my problem is-

The bathroom floor is over 2cm higher than the floorboards outside of the room (which are to be underlayed and carpeted).

How do I deal with this deviation? A standard tile to carpet strip isn't going to work is it?

Many thanks!

Which way do the floorboards run wrt the doorway? And how long is the stretch between the closest other doorway and the bathroom?

The floorboards run lengthways through the doorway. It leads out onto a landing with stairs then a door about 1m to the right.

Am I going to need extremely thick underlay or is there a door bar c foror this situation? Thanks

You've got a 2cm height difference. Any strip is going to be a 2cm step.

OTOH, a 1.15° slope? ;)
