Hello all,
I'm just working through my DIY 'to do' list, and came to look at the loose (external) door hinge I have.
The door is wooden, and has three hinges. The bottom one seems to be loose where attached to the frame. When the door is opened too wide, it hits some skirting behind it, which causes the bottom hinge to jolt, and come loose (at the frame).
I tried to adjust the existing screws frame-hinge, but they no-longer gripped, so I tried some longer ones. However, when tight they now cause the door to stick on the opposite side of the hinges (between the middle and bottom hinge).
I've had to loosen the screws for now so the door functions correctly, though I guess this is less than idea. Any ideas?
