Tile First or Last - bath

Hi Folks,

Putting in a new bath...
Is it better to tile below the bath line then put the tiles on or put the bath in then tile down to the bath line?

(I'm tanking too for good measure - which I shall do below the bath line regardless of tile placement?)

Tile down to the bath leaving a 2mm gap for silicone seal; protect the bath well. Tank at least 300mm below the bath line but what is the wall construction? What size type tiles are you laying? Have you read the Tiling Forum sticky & archive posts?

Lots of things to trip you up & it may prevent you making disastrous & potentially expensive mistakes with prep & choice of materials.
