Tile Master Bath shower/toliet to sink through door

How would I tile this? I have uploaded a picture to my library. If this is acceptable how do I make a "U" cut? I have already undercut the jams. Or do I need to move the tile down a coupla inches, leaving a short strip by the bath but the horizontal grout line would be in the middle of the jam so I would only need "L" cut.

looking at the pic..is this your centre line running through into the bathroom..?? if so its bad preperation and you need to re-adjust your centre line,so the tile is centre or edge of tile thro the bathroom door threshold...(centre)..


lookin at the pic,.. start (half tile) come off the centre off the door threhold,so you have equal cuts either side of door..

have you dry laid all the tiles into the room,and seen what cuts you have at all walls???...

No it is not the center line, I was tryin to avoid making 2 u cuts so I was going to start with the one side flush. @dry laid yes, I have a lot of leeway and edges have a lot of material.

Do you think I should run a center line through the center of the doorway and lay of off that?

hi eric

get the centre of the door threshold first ok

then dry lay the tiles from this...

start with the egde off the tiles from your centre line first(both sides),and see how the cuts around your bathroom are first(walls are not all square remeber)...

if your not happy with the cuts,then using the centre line of the door threhold...put a tile down(centre) to the line on the door threhold mate and see how the layout is from here..

tile fixing or TILE SETTING as they say in the USA is all in the LOOK (cant spell that other word ......,,,,)...

one other thing, your from the USA so i cant tell what substrate you have on your bathroom floor.

so go to the.. John Brigde TILE FORUM.. for the USA,and they will advise you on what preperation(primers etc..) you will have you use prior to any tile Fixing/Setting ...mate....
