Trying to drill out a radius in my last remaining tile it's cracked on me and i've no idea where'd i'd get another. These were a freebie left over from tiling stations on the Jubilee extension. Does anyone know a good well stocktile place i could take the pieces too and either try to match as close as poss, or even anyone who will make a tile to suit? I have seen an American place who will manufacture tiles to suit for $30 per mtrsq [min 2msq] but not seen anyone in the uk..

thanks :)

Hi kaseryn
you can try topps tiles they do a match tile service , or the Diy sheds may have a few of the old design ,

depending on the batch they maybe a different shade , sheen , :(

I know you wont like to hear this thats why you should always over order by a box :)

Hi Moz..I rang the main helpdesk who put me through to a store in Vauxhall.. they didn't know anything about a matching service.. apart from price matching for the sametiles if found elswhere. Are you sure about the service.. is it just certain stores?

kaseryn
maybe its just trade they offer this too , ?
I always used them for my firm as they would mix an match for us .....

you next best bet is try an match the colour ,

as they came from a industry job lot ,you aint got a box batch code number or manufacteurers number ?

sorry ,:(

or maybe can you not take that level off an redo with another edge type tile ??

Hi again.. i guess it must just be trade then. They were Italian ceramic tiles..
i dont have the boxes anymore but they had Colormassa 176 on them.. and i think "1a scelta". Not sure if they're porcelain but they're bloody hard to drill! Dont think i can really swop it outr for an edge tile as the whole job is centered and lots of the walls are off so you dont have edge tiles so much as lots cut into the walls.. if i can find one a close match thatd be the next best i guess. Do you not know of anyone then that will match or make for the public, or does the tile info i've given mean anything to you?

cheers :)

Hi kaseryn
"but they had Colormassa 176 on them.. and i think "1a scelta"."

which I just googled an scanned through the complete tilers date-base cross references to Italia an UK

the answer came up

Knocked off Industry Job lot , contact Police on 999/Intepol

Only kidding ;)

you best bet is go your local tile shops NOT DIY SHEDS,

explain this Nightmare to them with tile,

an explain you are prepared to buy a box an your not some timewaster ,
most good tile shops will bend over backwards to help ..lol

an tell them if they can help you out of this ,
you will sing their name from the rooftops , an YOU always do further business with them ,

all that soft soaping will get a bloke trying his best to match that colour /sheen, within a week or two you will get result , Im Positive ;)

where abouts on the wall fall was it , .... ????

I am labour will do the job for nowt with a bit of respect ..?

Wall fall? Where did they use the tiles in the stations ya mean? Think it was the stuff they used all through the underpassages between platforms. Tell your man there's a fiver and some luncheon vouchers in it if it comes out undamaged. Maybe even a full book of Green Shield stamps..

kaseryn

after dealing you ,!!!!!!!!!!!

I will go down the tracks "relay" tiles , just for you .......
