Is it possible to sandwich of tile, acrylic, and tile in any way? Im thinking of creating a step tile, where the acrylic layer would have LED's in the back, lighting up the front strip.
So the make up would be:
Tile
glue of some description
Acrylic/glass/anything clear
glue of some description,
Tile
adhesive
concrete step.
Finally, i would like to smooth off the tiles so the entire sandwich is rounded on the front edge -
I've seen this done with tiles in india, they sandwich 3 layers of tiles and smooth the front lip, but no idea how its done and if its possible with acrylic/glass in between.
Is this possible to do, and if so any ideas for use of the glue between the tile and clear layer?
