Tiled Outdoor Worktop.

As per the title, I'm planning to top my outside bbq area with a tiled* worktop. Will this work...

3/4' exterior ply,
then exterior cement board,
then adhesive and tiles.
Finish with a timber trim at the edges.

Very happy to hear of better ways; and/or any specifics on adhesives etc.
