Hi, I want to fit a shower tray with upstands into a corner against 2 walls, which are going to be tiled, with a glass enclosure on the other 2 open sides.
All the trays seem to have 4 upstands, but I only need upstands for the two edges against the walls.
With an upstand on all 4 sides, when tiling properly, i.e. with the bottom row of tiles overlapping the upstand, how are you supposed to tile past the edge of the shower, along the wall? The upstand on each of the open sides will get in the way of a straight run of tiles, so seems like I'd need to cut a notch out of a tile at either end to fit over the 2 upstands, which in some respects seems to negate the whole purpose of the upstands?
