Hi

I’ve spent ages googling trying to find some tips. But it seems it’s not a common question.

I’ve got to tile around a flexible waste pipe. It’s 110mm soil pipe. Does anyone have any tips for this? I’ve got a pipe collar which if it was a straight pipe wouldn’t be a problem to roughly cut it round and fix that over. But I’m wary of the movement of the flexible part as the water goes through it. Given the in/out nature of the pipe I’m also worried about having a gap between the pipe and the collar.

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks!

Do a template in cardboard first, fit new tile, leave a gap and then silicone the gap.

Photo should be horizontal not vertical but the waste pipe comes in just over half of the other tile so that causes an issue trying to get it round. The other problem being that the flexi part is where it comes through the wall. So it may be a bit smaller than the 110mm collar.

Lay 2 tiles on the floor next to eack other leaving a grout gap then draw a round circle. You could then cut this out with a small angle grinder.
