Hi all;

I'm in the process of tiling the splashback in my kitchen.
The splashback is a U-shape with kitchen cupboards above the work top ahead and to the right with a small window and no cuboards on the left-hand side.

The kitchen was fitted some years ago and therefore the gap between the worktop and cupboard doesn't fit the 10x20cm tiles neatly. As the missus didn't want to start off the worktop with a part tile :confused:, the part tile is a small sliver hidden just under the cupboards by the pelmet (which I've removed to trim and replace when finished). This avoids having to paint a small strip directly beneath teh cupboards and allows a good seal between tiles and cuboards with sealent.

My question is what should I do on the left-hand wall? I think a part tile at the top will look odd, so should I just tile the last full tile, or will this look odd that they're not in line? or should I even go one tile higher?
Decisions, decisions.....

If I've followed you right, I've got the same in my kitchen - part tiles under the cupboards, overhung with pelmets. The non-cupboard wall just follows the "last full tile", so there's basically a continuous line along the top of the tiles here and the bottom of the pelment. It looks fine.
