Tiling on vynyl tiles

Can I tile over the vynyl tiles in our kitchen. There sound with no cracks etc. Can I PVA it or do the tiles have to come up. The floor underneath is a bitumen one.

If they are sound then you can go over them,I normally prime with an acrylic primer but you can go straight on them with an adhesive suitable for porcelain.Dont use pva.

thanks. Is the porcelain adhesive different from normal adhesive.

depends where your buying from,a powdered flexible adhesive should be fine,I use benfer or granfix myself.Dont use tub adhesive.

But you're right; most flexible adhesives available are suitable for porcelain.
