TILING ON WOOD

I HAVE A WALL TO TILE THAT HAS PREVIOUSLY BEEN COVERED WITH WOODEN CLADDING CAN I TILE STRAIGHT ON TO IT?

but my point is when joining a group / forum you should look to find waht the "rules" are obviously the poster didnt rule 6 does say not to shout

Ignoring the other two who are having a spat, yes you can but only if the wood is secure and not liable to any flexing. By cladding do you mean T&G paneling? If so, then I would so you're better off ripping of the cladding as it would be simpler to tile onto the wall itself.
